**Temporarily closed for remodeling since mid-January 2016, the UMFA will reopen to the public Saturday, August 26.**
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA) inspires curiosity and creativity in visitors of all ages, illuminating the role of art in our lives.
Come visit on our free days, the first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month. Take a docent tour or download an audio guide, or check out a self-guide or a backpack to explore our collection in new and exciting ways. We offer free hands-on art-making activities for the whole family every third Saturday of the month, as well as summer classes for children inspired by artwork on exhibition.
Traveling across the state of Utah with our School Outreach Program, Museum educators teach about art and cultures around the world with fun, hands-on presentations using objects from our collection. We also lead dynamic tours in the Museum developed around grade level, thematic interests, and the Utah Core Standards.
The UMFA will deepen your connection to great art--visit today and dive into a world of art, ideas, and adventure!
